The trained professionals who make up the patient care team at Elemental Eyecare are eager to meet you and your child and assist you in taking care of your child's vision care needs. We are excited to be able to offer our services to the Central Oregon Community.
Dr. Gabby Marshall
Gabby Marshall, OD, FCOVD, is the clinical director of Elemental Eyecare. In addition to providing comprehensive eye exams for children, she assesses, develops and directs the individualized vision therapy program for each patient. She is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry and a Fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). She is a member of the Oregon Optometric Physician's Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Gabby was the recipient of the 2001 Oregon Young Optometrist of the Year.
She loves the challenges of helping children in their development and being part of the wonderful team of healthcare providers that care for the children of Bend. Having grown up in Oregon she feels a strong sense of community in Central Oregon.
Dr. Amanda Balsalobre
Dr. Amanda OD, FCOVD, is a native of central North Dakota. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Jamestown College in 2000. She then attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon and earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2004.
Following graduation she completed a primary care and surgical co management residency program at the John Wainwright Memorial VA medical center in Walla Walla, Washington and the Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Kennewick, Washington. Dr. Amanda then spent the next six years in private practice in Eugene Oregon. In 2011 she accepted a position at Group Health Cooperative in Seattle Washington, but soon learned that she much preferred living in a smaller community which has brought her to Central Oregon. She has been practicing at Elemental Eyecare since October of 2011 and has found working with the pediatric population to be quite rewarding and enjoys the new challenges that each day brings.
Dr. Kerri Lyons
Dr. Kerri Lyons OD, MeD-VFL, grew up in the northeast and received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Cornell University. She began her career in education, but switched over to optometry due to the incredible link she saw between vision and learning. She graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry with her optometric degree as well as a masters degree in vision function and learning in the classroom.
After graduating, she completed her residency at Southern College of Optometry in pediatrics and vision therapy. It was here she learned how to work with young children as well as patients who have visual side effects from concussions. She enjoys treating all her patients!
When Dr. Kerri is not in the clinic she can be found on her skis, bike or just running around outdoors.
