WOW!!! What a fun, exhausting, and exhilerating few weeks we've had at Elemental Eyecare! Getting moved in and set up gave me a new appreciation for the crew working on our building, and also for what a bunch of women can get done when they put their minds to it.
I am now set up and ready to go in Optical. I have finally figured out how to use our new software and frame tracer to send information electronically to our lab in Eugene. I am definitely not a computer savvy girl so this was quite a feat! I'm thrilled we are a paperless clinic. The whole idea of a paperless office is very new to me as I've always done things "old school" at other clinics that I've worked at, but its been fun and fairly easy to learn the new way.
I had my first couple patients last week and it was so rewarding to put new glasses on their faces. One little girl didn't want glasses at all when she first came in, but by the time she left with her new glasses she was excited to show them off.
Now that we're all set up I look forward to getting some more kiddos in the office and having some fun!..........................................
