GOING PAPERLESS:

Now that the office opening buzz has calmed down and we are able to get into the groove of every day activities, we are really enjoying the paperless environment. Not that being paperless is anything new, but we are excited to say that we have a few technologies that we want to brag about.

One, with our practice management and electronic medical records software we are able to do everything in the computer, including our vision therapy notes and all of our correspondance. We are really excited to announce that you can go to our website and send us all of your information over the internet. Yup, it goes right into our software. There is no paper to shred or file and no information that can get missed, because you enter it. It's secure and it will save everyone time, which means less time at check in and more time in the exam room with the doctor.

We also are not printing faxes, unless we need to. This is nice as it saves us the time of having to scan in records when we recieve them. They go to our email and we just save them into the patient record. It's pretty slick.

Our patients have the choice of having their receipts and prescriptions emailed to them or printed when they leave.

It is really nice not having to prep and file charts. We have complete access to everything from every work station and from our laptops. It makes for a wonderful work environment.

There are some other little things that make our office unique and you will see them when you bring your child in to see us. Come check it out - it's like no other office.
